“We had a great day with Ishan! He picked us up at the hotel in the morning and brought us back in the evening. We set off straight into the national park at 6am. We were very lucky and saw a leopard walk right past us. As Ishan has a lot of experience, we stopped at the spot and waited, as he said the leopards usually come out again. “Would highly recommend this tour, especially when comparing what the ship was charging for the exact same one The guide was waiting outside the terminal for us and off we went, one word of caution, to get into the vehicle is quite tricky if you have mobility issues, vertical ladder but you did only need to get in and out twice. Credit card was accepted to pay for the entrance fee and we were lucky enough to see numerous animals including elephants but no cheetah!”

We went car 12pm (2hrs approx) to Safari Jeep drop off near national park (3.5hrs) to car back drop off 8pm. Udawalawe park was beautiful with numerous mammals and birds spotted (no spoilers). Guide very knowledgable and stopped at great locations. Useful info; you can stop for toilet break and lunch if desired at cafe near park at vehicle swap.
