“Once we headed in the correct direction it was great! Lots of interesting tidbits about the creation of the National Park and it mentioned lots of areas to pull-off and overlooks to check out. We took the tour from Gatlinburg Welcome Center to the Oconaluftee Visitor Center. There were restrooms and a nice place to walk around with lots of elk to see! The walk to Clingmans Dome was approx 1/2 mile uphill but a must see if the weather is clear. Highly recommend! 😀”

Die Voucher in Tickets umzutauschen hat sich am Anfang etwas kompliziert angehört (per Whatsapp sich beim lokalen Anbieter Around Vesuvio melden und die schicken dann ein Bild vom Ticket per Whatsapp retour), hat aber dann doch gut funktioniert. Am Eingang konnte man sich per QR-Code im WLan einloggen, ansonsten gäb es dort keinen Internetempfang. Das Foto vom Ticket haben wir dann kurz vor der gebuchten Zeit erhalten. Taxitransfer vom Parkplatz bis zum Eingang war auch sehr gut organisiert, für 3€ hin und retour braucht man sicher nicht überlegen ob man zu fuß gehen…”
