“A must see location if visiting Naples or the surrounding area. If self driving, get there early (0830 - 0900) and be prepared for $7 card only parking payment. Where you park is “not” the entrance. They got this pretty well dialed in for added shuttle service to entrance. Recommend walking; 20 - 30 min. Once you get to the “trail” entrance take this and you avoid all the tourist trap stuff. “Den Vesuv zu besteigen ist ein sehr beeindruckendes Erlebnis, du stehst immerhin am Kraterrand eines aktiven Vulkans. Die Voucher in Tickets umzutauschen hat sich am Anfang etwas kompliziert angehört (per Whatsapp sich beim lokalen Anbieter Around Vesuvio melden und die schicken dann ein Bild vom Ticket per Whatsapp retour), hat aber dann doch gut funktioniert. Am Eingang konnte man sich per QR-Code im WLan einloggen, ansonsten gäb es dort keinen Internetempfang. Das Foto vom Ticket haben wir dann kurz vor der gebuchten Zeit erhalten. Taxitransfer vom Parkplatz bis zum Eingang war auch sehr gut organisiert, für 3€ hin und retour braucht man sicher nicht überlegen ob man zu fuß gehen…”
