“The sights were beautiful and would definitely receive 5 stars plus. However, our bus driver was on his 4th time for this tour and wasn't top notch as we had expected. He only talked when a question was asked for the most part and then didn't always have an answer. He apparently wasn't that familiar with the route, as we turned around often and he had to make phone calls to determine where to go at times. He made us rotate seating all the time even though most didn't care one way or another. And, he was so worried about time without taking into consideration that he had gotten lost…”

He covered volcanic activity, the flora that exists in this challenging environment, the history of the park, and even lots about the native Hawaiian culture related to the volcanos. We peppered him with questions, and he was happy to answer them all! Couldn't be happier with the experience. Be aware that this is mostly a walking tour, which actually helps with seeing everything that you can't see from a bus.”
